STTF2013 invites you to apply for a one week intensive programme of social and technical methods, in a transdisciplinary environment that will engage participants in both conceptual and practical activities with all four pillars of sustainability.

This Summer School is intended for Master and PhD students, researchers, and professionals from STS, Product and Service Design, Social Sciences and Humanities, Architecture and Engineering, Communication and Media, Environmental Studies, Economics and Management, Computer Sciences, and others.

Regardless of individual experience, everyone will have the opportunity to work in sociotechnical processes of design, construction and discussion of concrete objects, through Introductory Sessions, Masterclasses and Hands On Workshops.

Call for Papers - International Colloquium
ATOMISM AND IMAGERY (UNTIL THE NINETEENTH CENTURY)
On the 4th of November 2013 it will be held at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon an international colloquium entitled "Atomism and imagery (until the nineteenth century)", organized by the Center for Philosophy of Science of the University of Lisbon. Presences confirmed of the researchers Christoph Lüthy (Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen - Holland) and Antonio Clericuzio (Università di Cassino - Italy), specialists in theories of matter / atomistic iconography.

Anyone who wants to present a paper at this scientific event, please send the title of the communication and a brief summary, until the 8th of April, to Lídia Queiroz [ Esta dirección electrónica esta protegida contra spam bots. Necesita activar JavaScript para visualizarla ]. Communications may be in English, French or Portuguese and prepared for 20m of presentation (followed by 10m of discussion). Authors will be notified of acceptance of their abstracts until April 30th.

III RESEARCH WORKSHOP ON PHILOSOPHY OF BIOLOGY AND COGNITIVE SCIENCE. APRIL 4-5, 2013

The III Research Workshop on Philosophy of Biology and Cognitive Science (PBCS) will be held on April 4-5, 2013 in Santiago de Compostela. The workshop is a lively and fresh forum for young researchers working on these fields. In its third edition, the PBCS workshop will benefit from the key contribution of two leading young researchers: Hong Yu Wong (Unversity of Tübingen) and Matteo Mossio (CNRS).
